On the Water

The Gammon River System offers a variety of the best fish in the region. Walleye, better known as Pickerel, is the prime game fish here. Northern Pike, or Jackfish, a top predator fish in Manitoba, can be found in the flowing water, as well as in accessible pools, eddies and marginal waters in the Gammon River System. Lake Trout is also abundant in our waters. Other species include Sauger, Perch, Bass and Crappies.

We are confident that you will experience the best fishing Manitoba has to offer. Every angler is required to have both Manitoba and Ontario fishing licences. Fishing licences can be obtained at the float plane base in Silver Falls prior to boarding.

To get you out on the water safely and comfortably, we provide four 14 foot Lund boats with 15 hp, 4 stroke Mercury outboard motors. All fuel, life jackets, nets and stringers will also be supplied. The driver of the boat is required to obtain a Pleasure Craft Operator’s License prior to arrival. An online course is available at www.boaterexam.com.
